Writing (60 minutes)
The Writing component of comprises of two tasks. These include topics of general interest, and useful for those seeking admission for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies or looking for professional registration.
This includes tables, graphs, or diagrams and asked the candidates to describe, explain or summarise the information contained in their own words. You might be asked to describe and explain data, describe the various stages of a process, how something works, or describe an event of object.
You need to write an essay that reflects a point of view, problem or argument. Responses to these two tasks should be made in a formal style.
IELTS General Training
The Writing component of IELTS General Training comes with two tasks that are all about topics of general interest.
You are be offered particular situation and required to write a letter asking for information, or explaining the situation. The letter can be in the personal, semi-formal or in the formal style.
You are told to write an essay, by responding to a particular point of view, problem or argument. The essay in this talk can be a little more personal in nature than the Academic Writing Task 2 essay.
